Hotel Westend: Multilingual Hotel Website with Direct Booking & Services Showcase

2024

Hotel Westend is a 4-star hotel in Mariánské Lázně (Czech Republic) focused on leisure stays and wellness-style hospitality. The website was designed as a clean, trust-driven hotel presentation with a strong emphasis on direct bookings, clear room selection, and quick access to contacts. The goal of the project was to combine an elegant hotel feel (photos, atmosphere, services) with a practical conversion flow: select dates → view available rooms → contact the hotel instantly.

What has been done on the project

Homepage & First-Screen Booking

The homepage starts with a large photo slider showcasing the hotel exterior and key interiors, building first impression and trust. Directly under the slider we placed a compact booking widget: date selection (with calendar icon), a clear promise “Guaranteed Best Price at Our Hotel,” primary CTA button “Show Rooms.” A persistent floating “Reception” button is used as an always-available quick contact/action element, supporting users who want immediate assistance.

Rooms & Pricing Preview

We implemented a dedicated Rooms section with visual room cards presented in a slider format. Each room card includes: room photo, room title label (overlay on the image), starting price (“from … €”), CTA buttons like “See all rooms.” This structure allows quick comparison and encourages users to move from browsing into booking.

Services (At Your Service)

A service showcase block highlights key hotel features using circular image icons and short descriptions, including: Health center, SPA, Smoke-free zone, Room service. The layout is designed for fast scanning and supports decision-making without overwhelming the user with long text.

Guest Feedback Highlights

We added a “What do guests like?” block that surfaces short review-style quotes (benefits-first), reinforcing trust through social proof and emphasizing location, quietness, and staff friendliness.

Photo Gallery

A full Photo Gallery section was developed as a grid of thumbnails, covering: rooms, bathrooms, restaurant/breakfast, interiors and reception, outdoor areas. This block is essential for hotel conversion: it reduces uncertainty and increases confidence before booking.

Contacts & Map

A dedicated Contacts page includes: phone number and address presented clearly, an embedded Google Map with pin location and directions, a top-area quick action for booking and a “Call me back” option, multilingual support (language flags), making the site comfortable for international guests.

Mobile Version

A fully responsive mobile version was implemented: the hero slider and booking module adapt into a vertical, touch-friendly layout, CTAs remain large and readable, the “Reception” floating button remains accessible to support quick actions on smartphones.

Mobile version

Excellent mobile version

We developed a fully responsive design that works equally well on tablets and smartphones of any screen size. All controls are easy to use with a finger.

We optimized image loading based on the user's device, significantly speeding up the site's performance on mobile devices.

We've implemented a special version of the tour filter for mobile devices with large controls and a simplified interface.
